As part of a network that educates over 275,000 students across approx. 165 Podar International Schools, we uphold a shared commitment to quality education and responsible leadership.   

The Governing Body works collaboratively with the Principal and the teams, providing strategic guidance while supporting excellence in academics, operations, student well-being, safeguarding, and school improvement.

The Role of the Governing Board

The Governing Body provides strategic leadership by safeguarding the school’s mission, vision, and values while ensuring accountability, ethical governance, and sustainable growth. 

Responsibilities of the Governing Body

  • Sets and reviews the school’s strategic direction in alignment with the vision and mission. 
  • Monitors educational quality, student achievement, safeguarding, and well-being. 
  • Ensures responsible financial stewardship and sustainable resource management. 
  • Approves and reviews key policies, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
  • Promotes a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement through evidence-informed decision-making. 

Governance in Action

The Governing Body provides strategic oversight, while the Principal leads the day-to-day management of the school. Through regular review of school performance, stakeholder feedback, and strategic initiatives, governance ensures that the school remains learner-centred, internationally minded, and committed to excellence.
