Podar International School is a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and is currently working towards authorization to become an IB World School.
At Podar, we believe in nurturing lifelong learners by providing meaningful, challenging, and internationally minded learning experiences that develop curiosity, responsibility, and a strong sense of values. Our approach to education focuses on holistic development, encouraging students to think critically, act ethically, and grow into confident global citizens.
At Podar International School, in the Academic Year 2026–27, the programme will begin with Classes VI and VII for MYP 1 and MYP 2 and gradually grow year on year eventually offering the IB MYP 5 eAssessments to students who desire to take it up.
The MYP at Podar will be designed to support the varied intellectual, physical, social, and emotional needs of adolescents. Learning will be inquiry-based, concept-driven, and connected to real-life contexts, enabling students to understand not only what they learn but also why it matters. The programme will build on the strong foundation developed in the IB Primary Years Programme and will help students become independent learners, effective communicators, and responsible members of the global community, in line with Podar International School’s philosophy of excellence in education with values and then transitioning into the IB Diploma Programme and then ready for life.
A balanced and broad curriculum tailored for Classes VI and VII.
A structured and engaging learning framework that encourages students to become creative, critical, and reflective thinkers.
The curriculum is connected to real-life contexts, enabling students to make meaningful links between subjects and the world around them. Units of learning focus on key ideas that go beyond individual disciplines and encourage inquiry, problem-solving, and deeper understanding.
Through globally relevant themes, students explore identity, relationships, innovation, sustainability, and fairness, building awareness of their role in society and the environment.
Multilingual learning and interdisciplinary experiences strengthen communication, collaboration, and flexible thinking. The programme supports students in understanding their own culture while developing respect for diverse perspectives.
These learning experiences allow students to apply knowledge across subjects in creative and practical ways, helping learners develop confidence, teamwork, and the ability to think independently.
The MYP at Podar places strong emphasis on developing essential life skills. Students build self-management, communication, social, research, and thinking skills through classroom learning as well as co-curricular opportunities.
These skills help students become independent learners, take responsibility for their growth, and prepare for future academic and life challenges.
Service as Action reflects the school’s core values embedded in KALPAVRIKSHA, which guide students to develop care, responsibility, integrity, and respect for others and the environment.
Students are encouraged to apply their learning through meaningful actions that benefit the community. Through these experiences, learners build empathy, teamwork, and leadership, nurturing compassionate, value-driven individuals prepared to contribute thoughtfully to society.
The Community Project is a culminating experience where students investigate a real-world issue, take purposeful action, and reflect on their learning.
This project allows students to demonstrate the values of compassion, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership, in perfect alignment with Podar International School’s philosophy of holistic and value-based education.
